The 2017 new year is almost upon us, and I hope y’all have had a great holiday season! Colton and I took a short vacation from work, and it has been packed full of family and fun. We kicked off our vacation by spending Christmas with Colton’s family in DFW before driving to San Antonio to spend a few days with my family.
On the way back home, we decided to take a trip off the beaten path. We meandered up Highway 281, detouring to Dripping Springs to taste olive oil at the Texas Hill Country Olive Company and have lunch, driving up through Marble Falls and Lampasas, detouring again to Dublin to grab a soda, and then on to home after making a short stop in Granbury. The trip took all day, but it was a refreshing alternative to the continuous congestion on I-35. We were not in a hurry to get anywhere, so what better to do than enjoy the countryside of Texas?
We wish everyone a fantastic New Year’s. Cheers to 2017!
